Another Kicks the Bucket?

So with TL's latest release of City Story Metro, rumors abound of City Story (original) being abandoned like Zoo, Empire, and Treasure Story. Seems very likely as this is the second week of no weekly updates and the Metro game's buildings are just too similar not to be considered its replacement.

Teleporting Glitch

This topic was posted on 5/4 in the TL forums. There is currently a teleporting glitch (customers teleport to their seats, removing the time it takes to get to their chairs, and teleport out to leave). As of right now, it is still working. I can't say how much longer this will last for Bakery Story and Restaurant Story.

I don't think it's catching anyone off guard but if you play on an iOS, today is the last day to claim your 9 Gem "reward". Indirectly, of course, as it's against Apple ToS to reward in-game for downloading another game. Guess I'm not the only one who likes to skirt around rules. ;>.

I'm a chatty neighbor. Those who've seen me on the forums (when I was more active) and who are my good neighbors will agree. I have around 15-25 neighbors intentionally since I prefer having a select few who I get to know better. Well one neighbor in particular, she knows who she is, seems to always get the worst side of me...

Workaround: Gems from Dragon Story Goal

We all know the game updates, with the Dragon Story goals, have some nasty "features" we don't want, especially Farm 2.0.1, so here's a work around for those who haven't updated to the latest update, but still want the 6G per game you get from downloading Dragon Story. The specific instructions are for iOS since they are the only platform that has goals. Keep in mind, if you are viewing this in the future, long after the first day this is posted, this may no longer be a promotion.

Dragon Story: DragonVale Rip Off

HAHA. I know why TL doesn't like players posting to third-party websites on their forums... It's because they can't censor those materials outside of their forums. ^.~.

So a member was asking about Dragon Story farming and dragon leveling. I posted on the TeamLava forums that I do not play their DragonStory but do play DragonVale by BackFlip Studios which they ripped off (I'm not the only one who's noticed: Dragon Story vs DragonVale Review). I then went on to speculate that Dragon Story dragon leveling is likely similar to DragonVale.

First Bakery and Then the World

So I reached the once hailed level 96 in Bakery today. Not sure what I'm supposed to feel... Glad I made it. Remorseful for all the time (well) wasted in a game instead of being productive. Ready to celebrate with the other big wigs. Hold it up high and proud like a badge of honor announcing to the world how ridiculously addicted to this game I am! Enthusiastically look forward to conquering three more levels to get to 99.

Day at the Beach (Non-Story Games)

This is not game related but a little about me. :D.

Today, I went with my family to Galveston, Texas, to pick up trash for Adopt a Beach organized by my father's company, Nexon. After breakfast of some fresh fruit and cereal bars (no milk! only OJ and apple juice), all the volunteers shimmied into the "trash picking gear": sunscreen, black rubber gloves, gray Nexon-logo'd visor, and a trash picker tool. Everyone was already pre-set wearing a teal volunteer shirt, with a turtle on the front and the Nexon logo on the back. Carrying red buckets and light green plastic trash bags, we set off to the beach, a short trip down a sandy path.

City Updates

I was looking at my City and wondering how am I going to fit this upcoming weekly updates... I both look forward to and dread weekly updates in City. Among other reasons, I'm a collector and like to showcase my "collection" of buildings.

Silver Lining to Weekly Update April 12

This is an old post (posted 4/12/12, at the bottom of page 9) from the forum about the weekly update that contained "Treat Dispenser" that received good reviews so I'd like to use it as my first official blog post. :3.

"The silver lining... This week's junk appliance costs 10k instead of 17-30k and has grass and pre-cut strawberries in case you run out of decorations when serving customers during peak hours. So go ahead and reward yourself - it's okay if you put the savings towards the gold needed for the 20 mil last expansion. No one will blame you for being stingy. ;O.
